Warranty and Repair

Electric scooters require much less maintenance than conventional scooters due to the lower number of parts. The need for repair and maintenance is therefore much less. The parts that do need to be serviced on a regular basis are the brakes, tires and the shock absorbers.

Warranty

Our scooters have a 2 year warranty from the manufacturer. The warranty entitles you to repair and exchange of parts.

If you need to process a warranty, please email us at info@pineapplebikes.ch

  • Indicate the reason why you want to process the warranty.
  • Attach videos, photographs, or any information that will help us understand and resolve the issue.

 Where to service your bike

For service on wearing parts (lighting, brakes, tires, shock absorbers), you can go to any garage specialising in two-wheeled vehicles, who will be able to carry out necessary changes or repairs. For a battery or motor problem, contact us or an electric vehicle specialist.

If you need spare part to replace it yourself, contact us and we will send it to you directly. If it is a more complex part to replace, take your scooter to a garage. Ask him to contact us and we will send it to your garage.

Maintenance

We recommend doing the first service after 1000 km, then when needed or every 3000 km.

You can clean your scooter with soapy water and rinse it with water. Make sure not to get the batteries and connectors wet when cleaning.

Don't forget to check the pressure of you tires. This prevents premature tire wear, ensures good road grip and less consumption of the battery.

If your scooter is not to be used for an extended period of time, do not leave the battery at a temperature below 10 ° C. Instead, park it in a dry place at a constant temperature.

Charging your battery up to 60% once every month while stored, is a good solution. This makes sure it stays at a healthy level of charge during storage time. If you have to store your scooter outside, prevent corrosion by covering it to protect it from the elements.

We recommend not to charge the batteries immediately after using your scooter.  Wait at least 15 minutes for them to cool before starting to charge. This will help to extend their lifespan.
