Warranty and Repair

Electric scooters require much less maintenance than conventional scooters due to the lower number of parts. The need for repair and maintenance is therefore much less. The parts that do need to be serviced on a regular basis are the brakes, tires and the shock absorbers

Warranty

Our scooters have a 2 year warranty from the manufacturer. The warranty entitles you to repair and exchange of parts.

If you need to process a warranty, please email us at info@pineapplebikes.ch:

- Indicate the reason why you want to process the warranty
- Attach videos, photographs, or any information that will help us understand and resolve the issue

Please note that any modifications or use of your Pineapple Bike other than for its intended purpose will void the warranty. Modifications include, but are not limited to, changes that increases the power/speed, as well as the "tuning" of engines, adjusting the lighting and rear view mirrors as this is illegal. By doing so, you endanger your own safety as well as the service life of your bike and may impact your insurance cover, and will void the Certificate of Conformity (COC).

Where to service your bike

For any services or repairs, please make an appoinment with our partner garage, Züri Garage, and they will help you. If you prefer another garage then you can contact them instead as service on wearing parts (lighting, brakes, tires, shock absorbers) can be done at any garage specialising in two-wheeled vehicles. For a battery or motor problem, we recommend contacting Züri Garage, or a garage with electric vehicle knowledge.

If you need spare part to replace it yourself, contact us and we will send it to you directly. If it is a more complex part to replace, you can take your scooter to your preferred garage and we will send the spare part to them.

Maintenance

We recommend doing the first service after 1000 km, then every 3000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first.

You can clean your scooter with soapy water and rinse it with water. Make sure not to get the batteries and connectors wet when cleaning.

Don't forget to check the pressure of you tires. This prevents premature tire wear, ensures good road grip and less consumption of the battery.

If your scooter is not to be used for an extended period of time, do not leave the battery at a temperature below 10 ° C. Instead, park it in a dry place at a constant temperature.

Good battery care includes regular charging to at least75-80% of capacity, even whilst stored. This makes sure it stays at a healthy level of charge during storage time. Optimum charging and storage is at room temperature. If you have to store your scooter outside, then you can prevent corrosion by covering it to protect it from the elements.

Key Tip! Contrary to belief, the frequent partial charging of the batteries does not lead to a loss of charging capacity or reduce the number of charging cycles of the battery. Therefore, we recommend that you charge the battery for shorter periods more frequently. Not charging regularly can lead to a reduction in performance.
